About us

Mindful Steps Therapy CIC supports families raising neurodivergent children.

We speak directly to parents and carers who have been left out of the conversation:

The ones told to wait.

The ones blamed for speaking up.

The ones raising children who do not fit a system built for someone else’s child.

We work with families who feel isolated, blamed, or unsure where to turn.
We support children who are bright, sensitive, creative, or misunderstood.
We do not ignore what race, class, and generational trauma do to the SEND pathway.
We create space for honesty, protection, and emotional repair.

We are based in Enfield, but our story is shared by families across the UK.
We see your exhaustion.
We hear the guilt you carry.
We understand the silent battles missing from school records and care plans.

We do not offer quick fixes.
We provide early support, emotional reset, and clear steps forward.
We walk with you before exclusion, before burnout, and before your confidence breaks.

Our Mission

Mindful Steps Therapy CIC was created to break the cycle of school exclusion.

We believe every child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) deserves to be understood, supported, and included.
We believe schools must prove that they have tried reasonable adjustments before school exclusion is even considered.

We bring together experience from the criminal justice system, health and social policy, and parenting as a mother of neurodivergent children.
We centre the role of race, class, and trauma in how families experience the SEN system.
